Industry veteran Joe Kluba has started Kluba Machine in Washington, Missouri. The CNC machining job shop works with tool steel, stainless, cold rolled steel, copper, and exotics on parts up to 40” x 20”. The company has four employees with a combined experience of over 65 years. Industries served include automotive, aerospace and packaging.

Equipment at Kluba Machine includes: two Hardinge VMCs; an Okuma turning center with barfeeder; a Brown & Sharp CMM and other shop equipment. One of the first purchases that Kluba, a 20-year industry veteran, made when starting the operation
was Mastercam X6 software from QTE Manufacturing Solutions. “I have worked with Mastercam software for 12 years,” noted Kluba. “It is easy to use, very efficient, reduces waste and is a great value. The service and support from QTE is second to none.” Kluba noted that the firm has created 4,000 programs on Mastercam in the first 3½ months of operation and have had no scrapped parts due to software and achieved 62% spindle efficiency (with non-palletized equipment). “We are impatiently waiting for the X7 version.” “Our goal is to become known for our customer service and quality,” commented Kluba.
