Description: This is a 1-day course designed to provide step-by-step instructions on creating 3D Wireframe and Solid Geometry as well as utilizing solids for toolpath generation using the “Mastercam Solids” add-on module. This course discusses Mastercam features such as Extrude, Revolve, Sweep, and Boolean Remove & Add. You will create Solid Geometry from Surfaces, and you will be introduced to Loft Commands, Shell, Chamfer and Fillet features.

Prerequisites: Experience in creating geometry with the Matercam Design tools is strongly recommended.

Course Content Overview:

  • Extrude body, Extrude cut, Chamfer and Fillet commands
  • Revolve, Chamfer and Fillet commands and modification of solids
  • Sweep, Modify a face draft angle, additional Chamfer and Fillet operations
  • Create Solid from surface & thicken, create a sphere & a cylinder and multiple views
  • Create Solid Surfaces and Lofted Solids
  • Use of Solids for Toolpath generation
